I Have a New Writing Outlet!

I have enjoyed writing for this blog and still enjoy re-reading and reliving the posts here.

Recently, I have been kept busy by the delightful challenge of teaching my D/HH students, grades 3-5 in a public school , AND by writing for Karen Anderson’s Teacher Tools content-rich e-zine.

Here you can see the numerous resources available each month.

I download several articles and save them to create workbooks created specifically to meet the communication needs of students who are deaf.

The May issue is the last of the school year, but we will resume publishing in August.

I write the “Listening Skill Development” column.

Next year, I’ll be collaborating with the author of the Language column to coordinate our topics.  I hope to link each learning objective with a Core learning objective (as I did in the February – May articles) to help professionals incorporate auditory tasks within their Common Core-aligned lessons.

So in conclusion, as they say, I recommend that you subscribe to the Teacher Tools e-zine at Success for Students with Hearing Loss.

Thank you to those who showed interest in this blog and especially those who commented.

And to continue the conversation that begins there, email me at jw012463@gmail.com.

I LOVE to talk deaf ed!
